Saint Alexius gave up wealth, status, and even his own identity to belong completely to Jesus Christ. Living for years as an anonymous beggar, he embraced poverty, humility, and hidden sacrifice, eventually returning home without revealing who he was—even to his own family. Only after his death did they discover the truth. His remarkable life reminds us that God sees every hidden act of love and that true holiness is measured not by recognition, but by faithful surrender to Him.
