The Presentation of the Lord, also called Candlemas, commemorates the day Mary and Joseph brought the infant Jesus to the Temple. Recognized by Simeon as the Light of the Nations, Christ was offered to the Father in humility and obedience. This feast reminds us that every Christian life is meant to be a living offering to God. Lord Jesus Christ, Light of the Nations, have mercy on us!
