On August 13, the Catholic Church honors Pope St. Pontian and St. Hippolytus — one a pope, the other an antipope — whose story shows the incredible power of reconciliation. Once bitter opponents, they were imprisoned together, reconciled, and gave their lives for Christ as martyrs. Their witness reminds us that unity and forgiveness are at the heart of the Gospel. 🙏 Saints Pontian and Hippolytus, pray for us.
