St. You Have an Angel Assigned to Protect You

Friday, October 2, 2026

The Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels celebrates an extraordinary Catholic teaching: God gives us angelic guardians to watch over us and help guide us toward Him. Throughout Sacred Scripture, angels appear as messengers, protectors, and servants of God. Jesus Himself spoke of the angels who watch over His “little ones,” saying that they continually behold the face of His Father in heaven. Our guardian angels are not imaginary companions. They are spiritual beings who serve God, helping protect us from danger, encouraging us toward what is good, and assisting us on our journey toward holiness. October 2 is a beautiful opportunity to thank God for your guardian angel, ask for his assistance, and remember that the invisible world of heaven is closer than we often realize. “Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom His love commits me here; ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.” 26e70960-5e54-485f-8bdc-7aaa351… Subscribe to Catholic Voices and Prayers for more powerful Catholic feast days, saints, prayers, and truths of the faith.
