St. Who Fought Heresy With Truth and the Rosary

Saint Dominic founded the Order of Preachers—the Dominicans—to defend the Catholic faith through study, prayer, poverty, and clear preaching. Confronted by the Albigensian heresy in southern France, Dominic answered error not with anger, but with reason, humility, sacrifice, and a life visibly centered on Christ. His devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary also became inseparable from Dominican spirituality, and tradition closely associates him with the spread of the Rosary. His life reminds us that truth and charity belong together—and that Catholics must know the faith deeply if they hope to defend and share it well.
