St. The Day Jesus Revealed His Divine Glory

The Transfiguration of the Lord is one of the most radiant moments in the Gospels. On Mount Tabor, Jesus revealed His divine glory before Peter, James, and John. His face shone like the sun, His garments became dazzling white, and Moses and Elijah appeared beside Him. Then the Father’s voice came from heaven: “This is My beloved Son… listen to Him.” The Transfiguration prepared the Apostles for the scandal of the Cross. Before they would see Christ suffering and crucified, they were allowed to glimpse the glory hidden within Him. This feast reminds us that the Cross is not the end.
