What Does the Church Really Say About Sex?

Common Catholic Misconceptions1:15

Description

Sex is not evil or shameful—when lived as God designed. The Catholic Church teaches that sexuality is a sacred gift, reserved for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Within marriage, sex is holy because it unites spouses in love and is open to the gift of life. But outside of marriage—whether fornication, adultery, pornography, or other misuse—it becomes sinful, because it separates love from life. Unlike animals, human beings freely choose. That choice makes sexuality a moral act. With freedom comes responsibility—and God calls us to use this gift for love, life, and holiness. 👉 Discover more Catholic answers here at Catholic Voices and Prayers.
