Judas betrayed Christ, but his betrayal did not make Jesus false. In the same way, the sins of churchmen do not make Catholic doctrine false. Do not judge the Church only by those who rejected her teachings. Look also at the saints, martyrs, priests, religious, and faithful Catholics who lived those teachings with heroic virtue.
